Summer Tour 2026 Day 3

We kissed my mom and said goodbye to Port St. Lucie this morning around 8:30. Our first scheduled stop is in Chapmansboro, Tennessee. Our friend, Ted's, birthday is on Friday but we want to get there a little earlier than that to catch up and see some of his neck of the woods. So we headed north today. I love North Florida and it's scenery. What a beautiful part of the state. We decided to avoid the recommended route through Atlanta and drive to Tennessee via Alabama instead.

After a much needed Waffle House stop around Gainsville, we took 75 to I-10 into Tallahassee. That cut our time in Georgia down to about 60 miles and only 3 police sightings. Lol Its always a joy driving through Georgia with Florida plates. IYKYK

We made it Dothan, Alabama around 3pm CST and got a room for the night. We grabbed some grub at a place called Goldfingers. Pretty frigging good!

We will head to Tennessee tomorrow morning. Our route takes us through Nashville. It will be the first time either of us have been there. So stay tuned for pics and stories. We're just getting started.......
