Summer Tour 2026 Day 50
I got up this morning Jay took me around to check on some of his jobs and show me some Jersey Shore sights. Very beautiful place. We grabbed some breakfast and brought some back for the girls. Around noon, Debs mom Carol came over. We haven't seen her in a couple of years. She is 83 and big fan of mine. We love her to pieces. I sat on the back patio and played her the whole new album live. She loved it. Later we had dinner and settled down for the night. I canceled the res

Summer Tour 2026 Day 49
Today marked 7 weeks on the road. We left Maine heading back to Southern ground. 9 hours on the road and 6 states behind us. We arrived in Brick, NJ around 4:00. So good to see Jay and Deb. We've really missed them. Then Sherri and Pat showed up and we all went out for Hibachi. Long day. Great night. Goodnight!

Summer Tour 2026 Day 48
Well today was our last full day in Maine. It was Sunday Funday at the Outback Saloon. There were hundreds of people who showed up. It was quite a sight, and the crew worked like a well oiled machine. It was very impressive. I can't thank Greg and Corrina enough for their hospitality and time. Cortina runs the kitchen at the Happy Clam like a general. EVERY single thing on the menu is mind blowingly great. Greg is by far one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of

Summer Tour 2026 Day 47
I got up this morning and joined Greg on the Gator. We headed down to the pier and loaded four 5 gallon buckets full of live lobsters. Then we returned to the restaurant and steamed them. I learned how to tell tge difference between males and females and the difference between hard and soft shelled lobsters. You can only get soft shelled lobsters in Maine because they can't survive the trip elsewhere. After cooling them down, we went and picked up fresh picked crab meat from

Summer Tour 2026 Day 46
This morning I watched Greg shuck about 100 pounds of lobster to prepare for the day. This is an everyday occurrence at the Happy Clam. He and his wife Corrina really bust their asses on a daily basis here in Maine. All the business is done in 4 months. Now I know why they relax in the Keys every off season. My show started at 5:30 tonight. Michelle was comandeered to work behind the bar to help out. A wedding party of about 40 people hit the place, on top of the already gro

Summer Tour 2026 Day 45
Today we drove to Port Clyde, Maine to see the coast. Breathtaking view of the ocean. Just like all the pictures I've seen growing up, only in person with a cool wind blowing in your face. Then we drove 25 miles to Camden, Maine to go to Mt. Battie. At the top of the mountain is a rock tower that looks like a chessboard rook. I'll be posting videos of the scenery because there's no way I could fully describe it to you. We stopped back at the Happy Clam for lunch. They have a

Summer Tour 2026 Day 44
We said our goodbyes to Mom and Dad this morning and headed North to Maine. First time for me being in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. The drive just kept getting prettier. We arrived in Maine around 2:30. Greg met us at the Happy Clam Restaurant and then took us across the street to our camper. This place is so cool. We settled into our place and then got some lobster rolls. OMFG!!! I don't know if I've ever eaten anything better in my life. Behind the restaurant

Mom and Dad both had to work today, so Michelle and I drove over to the Mohegan Sun Casino for a few hours. BOO! We didn't gain any ground there, but the place is awesome to see. After the parents got off work, we went to an Italian restaurant called Il Gusto. The food was delicious. I had my first dirty martini with Dad. And my second. We had some great conversations with them both. It was a pleasure to get caught up on things. Time sure has a way of slipping away quickly.

Summer Tour 2026 Day 42
We woke to a very rainy morning in Jersey. Awful travel day heading North. The rain subsided by the time we reached New York. Yuck! What an awful part of an otherwise pretty state. We got to Connecticut around 3pm. Michelle and I got to see her sisters' babies. Josephine, Lainey, Clark, and baby Reed. ADORABLE! Lots of family we never get to see. Our brother Matt was kind enough to give up his room for us to stay for a couple of days.

Summer Tour 2026 Day 41
Got up late today. I guess I needed some sleep. We all ate leftovers for lunch and it was delicious. Side note... Tammy s whiskey cake should be illegal. Then we hung out in the pool till around 3. We met our friends at a bar called Surf Dog a few miles away. There was a guy playing at the bar. Guitar and saxophone. He asked me to play a few songs with him. It went over great. Seems there's alot of American Sons and People who don't want to go to hell in New Jersey. Lol

Summer Tour 2026 Day 40
Got up this morning and set up for the party with everyone. Food, ice, drinks, tents etc. People started showing up around 2pm. I started playing a little after 3. Big turnout of people. Lots of kids swimming in tge pool. Dogs playing with everybody. Smiling faces and a fantastic spread. All American summer party! A guy named Mike had his harmonica in the car and played along with many of the songs I played. My friend Gene, who I haven't seen in 38 years showed up. That was

Just hanging out at Kim and Sue's for a couple of days relaxing and getting the RV ready for a trip to Jersey. Looking forward to heading East in the morning. Ohio has been a delight both times we've been here on this trip. The Hamilton Hotel has felt like a second home to us. As expected.

Today we went to the hollar. Corning, Ohio. Very cool place to see. We got there and went pond fishing with Skunkberry Larry. Beautiful piece of property with three ponds on it. We didn't get many fish or bites. Just the wrong time of day. But we got a few. We went inside of an old oil pump shack. Another first for me. Pretty ingenious creation from years gone by. There was a bug ass Grey rat snake sitting on the old generator coil when we walked in. He just watched us loo

We bid farewell to our friends and the beautiful state of Tennessee this morning. About seven hours later we arrived back at Kim and Sue's place in Westerville, Ohio. It felt like coming home. We are so blessed to have the friends in our life that we do. Sue already had dinner almost done, Kim had one rolled and ready. We already have plans to go bass fishing tomorrow with Skunkberry Larry. Im pretty stoked about that. Michelle and I hopped in the hot tub and relaxed a littl

Summer Tour 2026 Day 33
We woke up to a cool, overcast day this morning. Sandy wanted us to go to a place called Leipers Fork, Tennessee. Ted took us the scenic route through some of the prettiest places in Tennessee. Leicester Fork is a tiny little artisan town with a few antique shops and a few stores that sell handmade creations and art. We grabbed lunch at a place called Fox and Lockes. I had a giant bologna sandwich. There was a band that started playing shortly after we arrived. A bunch o

Happy Friday ya'll! I wrote a new song this morning. Then Ted got done with his computer work at noon. He scheduled a 12 o'clock zoom meeting with his colleagues so I could play them a song. I played "No Cellphone Ringing" for them. What else would I play for a bunch of techies? Then Ted and I took Frankie Bananas to s dog park. Pretty awesome place actually. 30 dogs running around playing and in and out of water pools while the dog owners get to sit down and enjoy a full ba
