Summer Tour 2026 Day 45
Today we drove to Port Clyde, Maine to see the coast. Breathtaking view of the ocean. Just like all the pictures I've seen growing up, only in person with a cool wind blowing in your face.
Then we drove 25 miles to Camden, Maine to go to Mt. Battie. At the top of the mountain is a rock tower that looks like a chessboard rook. I'll be posting videos of the scenery because there's no way I could fully describe it to you. We stopped back at the Happy Clam for lunch. They have a traditional menu and a German menu. I ordered the sausage trio off of the German menu. Not only was it the best tasting German food I've ever had, but it was so big I couldn't finish it. (If you know me, you know that's saying something.)
At sunset we went to the lighthouse that was in the Forest Gump movie. The charm in this state is oozing from everywhere.
We bought a deck of cards at gas station and went back to the camper for a few to relax. I beat her in Rummy and Spades. She said she hated me and then didn't want to play anymore. Lol
After we returned to restaurant where I tried the crab roll. HOLY SHIT PEOPLE! Im not exaggerating when I tell you that this is the best food in the world at this restaurant.
Michelle and I stayed after closing and had a few drinks with Greg and Corrina before heading back to the camper for the night. Today was a day I will remember forever.
